Belen Consolidated Schools is seeking an Instructional Facilitator who is equipped with strategies to support continuous school improvement.  We are looking for an instructional facilitator that builds upon and strengthens existing and new instructional strategies with high expectations for every student. We are looking for someone that can support the BCS Standard Aligned Learning System and Assessment Tool. Perform as an instructional facilitator in selected schools to increase effectiveness of on-site instructional programs, to improve utilization of instructional materials, to promote development, implementation, and coordination of the school's instructional goals. 

 

Work Requirements:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Valid New Mexico Level III Teaching License
  • K-12 Experience preferred

Job Description:

 

Perform as an instructional facilitator in selected schools to increase effectiveness of on-site instructional programs, to improve utilization of instructional materials, to promote development, implementation, and coordination of the school's instructional goals. 

  • Assists staff in implementing continuous improvement for the purpose of sustaining district-wide systemic continuous improvement and improving the student learning system.
  • Collaborates with staff in the use of data and "best practice" instructional strategies to improve staff performance and guide decisions for the purpose of focused interventions and aligned planning toward the outcome of improving student achievement.
  • Collects and shares data on effectiveness of coaching and professional development for the purpose of assessing individual practice to self-reflect on areas of improvement.
  • Establishes and maintains positive, collaborative relationships with principals, district leadership teams and instructional staff, focusing on high expectations of adult learning for the purpose of increasing student achievement.
  • Goal attainment is recognized and celebrated for the purpose of increasing staff engagement.
  • Implements "best practices" to enhance district mission and vision for the purpose of facilitating change to increase student learning systems.
  • Supports a positive building and district culture for the purpose of creating an inclusive and progressivelearning organization.
  • Supports structures, procedures, and expectations to enhance the staff learning environment for the purpose of guiding staff toward resources, and following district, state, and federal practices, policies, and regulations.
  • Supports the district and school improvement goals by researching, receiving, planning, and delivering professional development for the purpose of ensuring highly competent coaching services.
  • Uses comparative data to improve individual performance for the purpose of growing staff in a systemic continuous improvement approach including knowledge of measurement, analysis, and results.

Management of Academic Programs:

  • Using data and daily observations, partner with District Leadership, to constantly improve instruction, teacher training, curriculum implementation, assessments, and other aspects of schools' academic programs and culture;
  • Partner with Principals to build a positive culture with staff, students, and families;
  • Professional Development Plans that are specific to Site Programs
  • Requires knowledge of Belen Consolidated School’s curriculum, instructional goals, procedures, and practices
  • Ability to manage curriculum development, in-service training, and related activities and provide a high level of instructional leadership for teachers and administrators;
  • Excellent human relations skills and ability to establish and maintain successful cooperative working relationship with appropriate school communities, and school-based and central office staffs Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Skills are required to perform multiple, technical tasks with a need to periodically upgrade skills to meet changing job conditions.
  • Responsibilities include working under limited supervision following standardized practices and/or methods; leading, guiding, and/or coordinating others
