Qualifications  

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Social Work and valid New Mexico license is required to apply.

AND

Must have or be willing to apply for New Mexico PED School Social Worker licensure before starting.

1. Full time position

2. LCSW or LMSW Licensed

3. Provide individual and group counseling services to special education students

4. Collaborate with students, families, and staff to assess mental health needs, create goals, develop appropriate support plans, and track progress towards goals

5. Serve as a member to the student IEP team to address aspects listed in areas such as developing the student profile and identifying needed accommodations

6. Collaborate with students, families, and staff to develop intervention plans and support strategies
7. Facilitate crisis intervention and support students in managing emergencies
8. Coordinate referrals to community resources for additional support
9. Demonstrated understanding and application of principles regarding substance abuse and violence issues
10. Embraces and encourages diversity
11. Serve as a resource to assist sites in developing and implementing programs to address school-wide social and emotional health initiatives
12. Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interations and progress
13. Comply with all district policies, staff regulations, and ethical standards of the social work profession
14. Demonstrated a willingness to seek professional development
