Substitute Bus Driver

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED certificate     
• Must be 21 year or older                         
• Valid and current New Mexico commercial drivers license (CDL Class B) with Air Brake, Passenger, and School Bus Endorsements Training Available              
• Medical certificate prescribed Transportation Division and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.                                  .          
• Current First Aid certification - Training provided by district.                                  
• No prior convictions as specified in SDE New Mexico Standards for School Bus Operations                                             
• Demonstrated knowledge and application of defensive driving practices, training provided by district.
• Physical abilities to perform the physical tasks required of this position.
• Able to use technology to perform transportation services departmental responsibilities.
• Uses effective people skills to communicate.
