  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Valid New Mexico Teaching License. Must be a level II or Level III license.
  • Minimum five (5) years teaching experience
  • Have a broad base of experience in teaching
  • Demonstrate understanding of Common Core State Standards (CCSS); instructional delivery systems and assessment of student learning.
  • Demonstrate competencies in instructional methodology that leads to improved student academic achievement.
  • Demonstrate ability as a change agent understands and supports stakeholders in the change process.
  • Demonstrate ability to build and articulate with staff, students, parents and community a vision of assessment and its correlation with student mastery of standards.
  • Able to demonstrate application proficiency in word processing, database and spreadsheet software.
  • Embraces and encourages diversity.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working with a changing and flexible schedule.
  • Knowledge of district vision, mission, goals, and focus areas.
  • Demonstrate ability to provide an environment and climate where positive, productive, progressive teacher collaboration can support student success.
  • Able to perform essential job functions and job task requirements noted on the job description.
