Position Overview:
Belen Consolidated Schools is seeking a highly motivated Level III teacher with administrative licensure or a Master’s degree in Administration, or completing administrative licensure, who is eager to pursue a career in school leadership. This role provides hands-on experience, supporting site administrators at school locations, with a focus on Social Emotional Learning (SEL) systems and other administrative responsibilities. This position is designed for individuals who aspire to become an elementary school principal and requires a minimum three-year commitment to the district.
Qualifications:
- Valid New Mexico Level III teaching license.
- Master’s degree in Administration (preferred).
- Administrative licensure or evidence of coursework toward licensure.
- Teaching Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in an elementary school setting, demonstrating a strong understanding of child development and effective instructional strategies.
- Experience with Social Emotional Learning (SEL) frameworks (preferred).
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Commitment to fostering equity, inclusion, and safe learning environments.
- Pursuing a leadership role as an elementary school principal and willingness to commit to at least three years with the district.
